1 - 22, AUGUST - LISBON/PORTUGAL
πΊπΈ π§π· We are a bilingual Portuguese/English school π¬π§ π΅πΉ
Our heart is to train people with a call to Portuguese speaking countries.
The Iris Global School of Missions in Lisbon was created through the pioneering work developed in Lisbon, Portugal. The aim of the Iris Global Missions School is to raise up a new generation of missionaries who carry the values and DNA of iris global, who love God with all their heart and are trained in disciple making.
Our School is structured to facilitate encounters with God in His Word, through His Spirit.
Our movement was born out of encounters that people had with Jesus. These encounters must be birthed from the Word, facilitated by the Spirit and then lived out in a lifestyle of radical obedience and surrender.
The ultimate goal of the school is for the students to grow in obedience to the Word of God and not just grow in knowledge of the Word.
The key principle is we Learn it and Live it! and as we Live it, we learn it!
For hundreds of years, Europe was the geographical center of Christianity. Even during the Enlightenment period, when new philosophies challenged the Christian faith, Europe stood firm.
Europe's Christian heritage culminated in what is known as the Great Century of missions. Spanning from 1792 to 1914, Europeans took the gospel all over the world during this period of history.
By the 20th century, the gospel had spread to every region in the world.
230 years after the start of the Great Century, we believe this is Europe's time to become a key sender of missionaries once again.
