Our ministry is basically made up of three pillars: Community, Calling and Commissioning. We believe the world will know the Father's love as we walk in love for one another (John 13:35). From this love, we can bring light to other communities unreached by the gospel growing in the character of Jesus as we live in practice all of His teachings. We believe that all of us has a specific vocation and that to live fulfill that it is necessary to cultivate a culture of encouragement and relationships. Our goal is for see people finding their own flame and walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we're called, so that we can experience the good, perfect and pleasant will of God. Ultimately, our desire is to fulfill the Great Commission, as a response to Jesus' love for all the nations of the earth. To this end, we encourage and train those whose calling is to fulfill the commandment to go and preach the gospel of the Kingdom.
Iris Lisbon Mission is a Christian organization committed to living out and expressing a tangible response to the greatest commandments Jesus gave: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength” and “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27).
We believe the Spirit of God is calling us to make the Father’s love real and visible in the world — revealed through our thoughts, bodies, lives, and actions. We exist to take part in the movement of God’s Kingdom on earth in all its dimensions, but especially through our call to serve the poor, the destitute, the lost, the broken, and the forgotten.
We are sent to places where “love” means giving bread to the hungry, water to the thirsty, and healing to the sick; it also means becoming family to the orphan, bringing freedom to the captive, and peace to those devastated by war. Wherever we are, we long to make this love tangible and accessible.
As we seek to manifest God’s heart by pouring out His love, we find ourselves continually blessed by hidden treasures within the lives of those we serve. We also believe that an essential part of our calling is to share these treasures with the whole Body of Christ.
We hope that our trials, testimonies, and victories may become life and encouragement to the Church, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God (Ephesians 4:13).
There's a new breed of missionaries being raised on the earth, transparent saints, with brave hearts, beating to the beat of their Bridegroom King Jesus, carrying their glory throughout the earth. Fearless, surrendered lovers who know boundless love, and who are ready to run to the darkest places on earth to bring back the lost, the dying, the poor and the broken. Jesus came with an unceasing love for each individual and for the multitudes. Now we need to do the same: stop for one, but believe for the multitudes.
We believe that the world will know the love of the Father as we walk in love for one another (John 13:35). From this love shared by one another, we can bring light to other communities not reached by the gospel and grow in the character of Jesus while we live in the practice of all His teachings.
We believe that each one of us has a specific calling and we cultivate a culture of encouragement, while relating to each other. Our objective is that each one finds his own flame and lives in a way that is worthy of the vocation to which he was called, so that they can experience the good, perfect and pleasant will of God.
Our desire is to fulfill the Great Commission, as a response to Jesus' love to all the nations of the earth. To that end, we encourage and train those whose calling is to fulfill the command to go and preach the gospel of the Kingdom.
For us at Iris Lisbon, this has become our daily desire. To us, being a radical lover means having a 100% surrendered heart to Him. It means obeying what He is asking us to do and trusting in Him as He leads the way. A radical lover of Jesus, to us, means truly obeying the Great Commission: to go and make disciples of all nations, to share and live the simple gospel.
Becoming a radical lover means being hungry and desperate for His presence and continuously transforming to become more like Him. We desire to live a radical life and die to ourselves for the sake of the gospel. We are learning each day to stop for the one in front of us. We want to be a generation that walks with the identity of God's children restored and carries the joy of the Lord.
We believe in a great harvest of souls in Portugal and Europe. We want to see more radical lovers rising up and preaching the gospel to the poor, broken, unreached in the darkest places… until everyone hears and adores Jesus.
